The goal for this remodel was to design a Pacific Northwest aesthetic utilizing the existing structure that was built in 1955. Jan Jewell extensively researched homes that were being built in the area in 2005 to develop a design that would look contemporary, without modifying the footprint or drip-line. Although the home is considered small for today's standards, the mature gardens give it an appeal and privacy not frequently found any longer.
