8x10" Original Oil painted on Belgian Linen panel En Plein Air. When I first drove into Charlestown in Cornwall, I noticed this church and cemetery on a foggy, grey day and decided I wanted to paint it. I walked to it the next day to find the sun shining, casting long shadows instead. Afterwards I wandered through looking at the names on the gravestones, and fell to my knees when I found one with nearly my name, Jane Jewell, who died in 1875.
